Two different things are described here: this website, and the app you install. The website collects one thing — an address, if you type one in. The app runs on your machine and does not report back to us.

The early-access list

This is the only data this site collects.

When you submit either form on the front page, five things are stored: the address you typed, which of the two forms you used, the ?src= tag on the link you arrived through, the time, and the first 160 characters of your browser’s user-agent string.

They go into Cloudflare KV. That is Cloudflare’s storage, not a machine we own — the app is local-first, this form is not. Sign up twice and you get two dated rows.

The list is for one thing: mailing you when ShortSmith ships. It is not sold, not shared, and not added to any other list. The front page loads three images from this domain and runs one inline script; there are no analytics, no third-party scripts, and no cookies set by our code.

No expiry is set on the store, so a row stays until someone deletes it by hand.

Getting out: mail chocholac.petr@gmail.com and the row is deleted. That is a person running a command against the store, not an automated unsubscribe link, so it will not be instant.

What the app collects

Nothing that reaches us.

Deleting app data is something you do locally: remove the files.

Third parties your install talks to

You connect these, with your own keys and at your own cost. Their terms and privacy policies apply to what you send them.
